Two months before his team raids the home of the Shape Shifter heads he meets Amelia Brecken. She is like no one else he has ever known, she also is the daughter of Sir Reid and Mistress Lilyann leaders of the Shape Shifters.

War becomes his reality and love takes a backseat. A collision course is paved and only Hunter can prevent the accident. Danger is real. Her protection key, even if he has to break her heart to keep her safe.

Prologue: 
Peace Treaty Meeting
Hunter
Hunter was nervous. He was the son of the Commanding Officer of the Werewolf Army and anything he said, went. Hunter Jackson was quickly working his way up to General, but his task right now was to present a way to bridge the gap between the Werewolves and the Shape Shifters. He was going over his notes looking down at what caused this dumb ass war. He truly believed it was stupid. One little misunderstanding between his dad and the Brecken family, and all hell broke loose.
“Hi.” A female voice said from behind him.
“I’m Amelia.” Her voice was sweet. Way too sweet for Hunter Jackson, but he got the shock of his life when he turned around and saw tattoos up her arm, and hazel, greenish eyes that stunned him. She was a mixture of sweet and badass, Hunter’s perfect fit.
“I’m Hunter.” He said, stretching out his hand. She took it and he felt heat, passion, desire, and the weight he was carrying on his shoulders vanish the moment her hand connected with his.
“Well, I need to head in and find my parents. This should be interesting.” She huffed. He didn’t want her to leave, but he surrendered her.
Yea, interesting was one way to put it. Hunter took his speech seriously when his father gave him the task. He spent every waking moment studying what caused the rift between the Werewolves and the Shape Shifters. What he learned was that it was no one’s fault. It was a horrible misunderstanding regarding control of certain parts of Linwynn. Most of the country was under the control of the Werewolves, but long ago, the Shape Shifters had claimed a small piece of the country. It was legit, but a weird document appeared saying the land was taken from the Werewolves and everything began to spiral out of control. There had already been tension for personal reasons. This just further pressed things. His dad was determined to take down the Shape Shifters and had arrested several that lived in the part of Linwynn controlled by them.
Hunter begged his dad to just leave things alone, but he wasn’t having it. So here Hunter was hoping he could bridge the gap. He thought his idea was pretty solid, but Hunter also knew his dad. In fact, Hunter wondered why his dad had even asked for this.
Stepping up to address the Werewolves and Shape Shifters, his eyes immediately searched for the beautiful Amelia. He didn’t see her in the Werewolf section, though when he did find her, his heart sank. She was sitting right in between Sir Reid and Mistress Lilyann. Oh shit, she was a Brecken; she was a Shape Shifter. Oh fuck! He was royally screwed unless this speech worked, and the shock on her face told him all he needed to know. She was terrified because she now knew he wasn’t just Hunter, he was Hunter Jackson. To a Brecken, that would be a major deal, quite possibly a deal breaker.

Interview with Amelia and Hunter:

Today I am lucky enough to get a sit down interview with Hunter and Amelia from Amanda Kay's Crying Wolf! First off, I want to say thank you for taking the time to answer these questions, I've had the help of the lovely Fairies who were eager to ask you some things as well! Now let's get started!!

Hunter & Amelia: Happy to be here.

Jen: Hunter, we saw that instant attraction between you and Amelia. What exactly was that attracted you to her?

Hunter: What didn’t attract me to her should be the question. Her voice was way too sweet, but then I turned around saw the tattoos and her eyes I was attracted. When our hands touched I was sunk.

Amelia: *chuckles*

Jen: Speaking of attraction, what characteristics do you look for in a woman? What about you Amelia, what do you look for in a guy?

Hunter: I dated Melissa off and on for a few years I really had given up on finding someone worth it. I was a disappointment to my dad and Melissa eased that, though I have no idea why. I wanted someone sweet, strong, determined. I wanted someone who reminded me of my mother.

Amelia: Well good looking for one, but more importantly I wanted someone I could rely on someone who would listen to me and not push.

Jen: Amelia, I am sure that you've been hurt before by guys, knowing who Hunter was; how are you able to trust him so much?Especially when you know that he is hiding things from you.

Amelia: Yes I have been. When I realized who Hunter was I wanted to run the other way. Hunter has this way though of getting to you without pushing too hard. He was strong, but gentle trusting him ended up coming naturally.

Jen: Hunter, this is something a lot of us want to know. Brayleigh, a kitten...Why exactly did you choose to give her a kitten?

Hunter: I knew this question would be asked. I went to the petstore looking for a pet that spoke to me. I wasn’t really sure what I was going to get. When I saw Brayleigh she looked up at me and meowed I was sold.

Jen: Amelia, are there any specific reasons for your tattoos? Any special meaning behind any of them?

Amelia: Most of them no. I did get one after breaking up with my ex to remind me never to settle in life to look for the extraordinary.

Jen: Amelia let me ask you, if the peace talks never occurred do you think that you and Hunter would ever have crossed paths? If you ever did meet, do you think there would still be that instant attraction between you two?
Amelia: I don’t know if we would have that’s hard to predict, but I do think there would have been an instant attraction. You can’t fake that type of attraction even if you want to.

Jen: Hunter, if your mom was still alive do you think that this war between shape shifters and werewolves would still be occurring? Or would the commander let you live your life in peace

Hunter: I like to think she would have stopped him, but even before things got out of control with her death and then the report that he received there was this weird tension and for him that always boils over.

Jen: Hunter, your dad is so forceful and vengeful, how did you turn out so different from him?

Hunter: Mom, for a long time I thought she wanted me to be him. Mostly because she stayed quiet when he taught his lessons, but when she told me to be better I knew I could do that with my attitude and the way I looked at life. For a long time I just kept my head down and kept opinions to myself, but one day I no longer needed that, I needed to be true to myself and he was overstepping in my life.

Jen: Something I know many want to know: What does the future hold for you two? Any wedding in the future?

Amelia: *looks to Hunter and smiles*
Hunter: You’ll have to wait and see, but know one thing this woman is my life.
